Pacifica Hospital of the Valley’s commitment to providing the highest quality care and ensuring the safety of our patients, employees, providers, and visitors is our priority.

In light of local cases of COVID-19 and global instances of exponential spread of the virus and Variants, We have temporary measures in place to minimize traffic and potential exposure in our hospital, protecting patients and staff.

Currently, visitors are allowed in units at PHV, but only under the following conditions:

Visitors to Pacifica Hospital must present proof of being fully vaccinated OR show proof of negative results of a COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to visiting and entering the Hospital.

Wearing a mask at all times while visiting the hospital is mandatory.

COVID-19 requires the hospital to maintain safety precautions taken to prevent the spread of any infectious diseases. To keep our residents, employees, providers, and yourself safe, The California Department of Public Health recommends the following for specific patient groups to make sure support for their mental health well-being.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU): Patients at end of life, 2 family members.

Operating Room (OR) for outpatient procedures: 1 or 2 adults may drop off the patient and wait for the patient until they are discharged.

Subacute: Please contact the Subacute Social Worker to schedule an appointment to visit the resident.

Pacifica Hospital of the Valley reserves the right to remove disruptive, non-compliant, unauthorized persons from the hospital and surrounding exterior property. Individual understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Please note that this visitation policy may evolve over time depending on our response to public health recommendations.

We are working diligently to invite families back to be with their loved ones. It will be a gradual process, as we continue to be focused on stopping the spread of COVID-19, to keep our patients, residents, and families safe.

All visitors are screened for symptoms or potential exposure to COVID-19, even if vaccinated. Those who screen positive for any symptoms will not be able to visit.

We are encouraging the use of devices such as smartphones to communicate with patients and residents remotely, and the use of iPads for virtual visits. PHV is providing devices to patients and residents for virtual visitation to those who don’t have them.

Simple measures remain the first line of defense against viruses. We are urging the public to please continue to follow the usual guidelines:

Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if you’re unable to wash your hands.

Pacifica Hospital is located in Sun Valley, California

The main site of the Health Center sits on 8 acres within the vibrant region of the San Fernando Valley, facing the San Gabriel Mountains.

The main entrance to our Hospital is on San Fernando Road in between Sheldon and Truesdale streets, just off the Route 5 expressway and minutes from the 405 expressway and county road 170. Metro rail travelers would exit the train at the Civic Center station.
