Our Telemedicine program enables a patient to receive quality care closer to home via telecommunication technology, throughout the current pandemic and beyond it will be especially beneficial to improve access to community members who have sheltered in place or are not mobile to come and see us physically. Pacifica Hospital Has Temporary Precautions And Guidance For Patient/Resident Visitors To Our Facility.
As we continue to monitor and receive COVID-19 (Coronavirus) updates from the LA County Department of Public Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention the ongoing safety of patients, residents, staff and the community remains Pacifica’s primary focus.
In the interim, as we try to reduce the spread of the virus, we are currently offering app-based technology that enables virtual visits with family and loved ones. Please ask a member of the staff for more details.
TENTS continue to be in place outside our Emergency Department to allow us to provide COVID-19 pre-screening for patients and visitors before entering. Tents continue to be implemented following direct protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and the California Department of Public Health.
The tents are part of a strategy by our hospital to keep potential Coronavirus patients separated from the rest of our patients, residents and staff, to reduce the chance of spreading the disease.
